Apple Festival Pageant

* Entry Fee is $50.00 payable to The Casey County Apple Festival, and is due no later than September 13, 2008. No refunds will be given no exceptions.
* Contestants will compete in 3 categories:
• Interview - 40%: Skirt or Pantsuit is appropriate attire
• Swim Suit - 30%: one piece solid color swimsuit in your choice of style and color with a wrap, shoes should be clear or skin color (taupe), small Umbrella for opening number.
•Evening Gown - 30%: Full length gown in your choice of style and color.
* Check-in will be between 5:30-6:30 pm EST the day of the pageant. Interviews begin at 7:00 pm. Interviews will be four minutes per judge in a one-on-one style with three judges.
* A dressing area will be provided for contestants.
* Prizes will be awards to first and second runner-up and one winner will be crowned. Mrs Congeniality will be awarded and is voted on by the contestants and the pageant director.
* The contestant that is crowned Mrs. Casey County Apple Festival, will go on to represent the festival at the Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant in June 2009, in Louisville.
* The contestant must be married as to the date of her entry into the pageants and that the marriage will remain valid throughout the State Mrs. America Pageant. She has always been female and is at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry. * She is a United States Citizen and a resident of the state of Kentucky for at least six months and that she does not have any commercial or endorsement agreement of any kind whatsoever.
* Winning contestant moving onto the state competition will be required to pay her respective portion of the state fees and the Apple Festival will pay their respective fees. All state preliminary winners are required to sale tickets to the State pageant and advertising for the state pageant program book.
* There will be a Mrs. Photogenic competition all contestants are encouraged to bring one photo the night of the pageant. Please turn in photo’s when checking in the night of pageant.
* Contestants husbands will be escorting their wives during the evening gown portion of the pageant. Sunday/Business suit attire is fine, tux rental is not required. If your husband can not attend an escort will be provided for you, and it will not affect you scoring.
* Contestants will be learning a simple routine after interview, to perform during the swimsuit competition. Easy on/off comfortable clothes are recommended. It will be a simple 1, 2, 3 steps to learn and will be taught by a dance instructor and with 2007 Mrs. Casey County.
* Score sheets will be mailed out approximately 10 days after the pageant.
* Judges decisions are final.
