Contestant Information/Rules

WARDROBE:
*Interview: Contestants should wear appropriate for a business interview with shoes of choice.
* Opening Number: The theme for this year's pageant is "FAMOUS." We will be using the song "When I Grow Up" for the opening number. Contestants are asked to wear something "celebrity inspired" that they feel a celebrity would wear to an appearance. high fashion and something that suits their personality is what is requested.
* Swimsuit; Contestants must wear a one piece pageant swimsuit with shoes of choice.
* Evening Gown: Contestants must wear a floor length evening gown with shoes of choice.
REHEARSALS:
* All contestants must attend the MANDATORY orientation on Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Casey County Apple Festival building (Beldon Ave.) All contestant information sheets, Community service Award applications, and $75.00 entry fees are due at this time. NO CONTESTANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED BEYOND THIS DATE.
* There will be a MANDATORY dress rehearsal on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:00 p.m. at CCHS.
RULES:
* All contestants must be a resident of Casey County for at least six months.
* Contestant must be at least 16 years of age on or before October 31, 2008 and must not have turned 21 years of age on or before October 31, 2008.
* Contestants must attend all mandatory meetings, rehearsals, and pageant functions.
* The winner of the Miss Casey County Pageant must attend all Apple Festival events including other pageants, parade, and cutting of the apple pie. She must also represent Casey County at the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant in January in Louisville. The 2008 Miss Casey County must also return to next year's pageant to crown the new winner.
* The Casey County Apple Festival Committee along with pageant chairpersons reserve the right to dismiss any contestant from competing in the pageant if she does not abide by the rules stated above.
I have read and understand the rules and regulations listed above and agree to abide by them as a candidate for Miss Casey County 2008. I understand that if I do not abide by any of the rules listed above that I may be dismissed as a contestant in the Miss Casey County 2008 Pageant.
